Our house was finished last spring, landscaping was done and the solar panels are installed.
The guest-house, which we named Casita Maja (nice cottage), has the atmosphere of an old spanish cortigo.
Situated in the mountains of the Sierra del Segura (often referred to as the lungs of Spain) between centuries old terraces with almonds and olive trees.
Besides absolute tranquility it offers a abundance of unspoiled nature, fascinating views and spectacular sunrises and -sets.
The green landscape and the clean air, along with the friendly people and atmosphere will definitely entice you.
The small towns in the neighbourhood like Elche de la Sierra and Yeste are beautiful medieval places built in-between mountains.
The Rio de Segura runs through these mountains, puctuated by several lakes. Nature lovers will rejoice in simply enjoying the scenery and its wildlife around our house, while others might want to engage in sight-seeing or other activities. We offer GPS routes for cyclists, mountain-bikers or hikers.
